As an old hobby of mine hammer hitting metal and making something from fire and sparks I have long been happiest when looking into the blinding light of white metal glowing in the flames of the gods

Recently I have gained access to a new forge far from my old gas bottle forge

The new forge is by far beyond my imagination of things to use when hitting hot stuff with a hammer

This rustic place is heaven in a hovel run by a great smith with vast amounts of experience and a warm heart the Powderham forge is on its way back to being a fully functional fabrication and manufacturing power house

Finally this above is my pice I made while there just a simple chopper instead of using an axe this is much smaller and easier to carry camping. I am adding my touch mark in this image,

It’s not a fancy one, but is unique, when I met with Terri English years ago he gave me the advice that as a blacksmith I should first make my own mark so that all i do is identify and so I do I traded with him on that day my version of a feather for a few of his pieces he was a nice person to talk to for a few days

Um so below this will just be some of my other attempts of smithing
